Description:
Mauser K98 (Portuguese Model 1941) manufactured in 1941.
The Portuguese Contract Rifles were nearly identical to the Wehmacht K98 rifles but featured solid walnut stock and a commercial quality blue finish, the receiver and left side of the stock are stamped with the Portuguese Crest dated 1941.
The left side of the receiver is stamped MAUSER-WERKE AG OBERNDORF AN.
The serial number G15780 is stamped on the receiver, the barrel, the bolt, the stock, the buttplate and bayonet, the scabbard is stamped G80, the cleaning rod is stamped 80 all other components are stamped 15780 or 5780 depending on the size of the components.
The rifle has a full set of Eagle WaA135 inspection stamps (waffenamts).
The scabbard has cosmoline on the blade as part of the factory issue for rust protection.
The rifle, bayonet and scabbard are complete with all serial numbers matching, no cycling wear on the bolt or magazine.
Ammunition is included.
