Description:
This superbly made spirit level is designed to replace the rear sight and fit in the dovetail, for Win 85 with tang mounted target vernier or peep sight. Rather than complicate the front sight with combination globe and fluid sight, and easier to see,esp in a hunting situation.. These were extremely expensive to make and many were accidentally broken. Also seen in some **Remington Hepburn** special order rifles, esp.Walker variants I am told.
Looks exactly 'right' in a 38/55 or 32/40 High Wall with tang mounted mid range vernier target sight, or Lyman 'S' hunting peep.
Guaranteed completely original and rare as r-h-p...!
