Guedes 8X60R dropping block.Bore .326 twist 1 in 11 inch.Stamped ZAR (Boer Republic)on top of receiver. One of 200 Guedes bought by the Boer Republic of Orange Free State..The state of Transvaal bought 7700 Guedes M85 8X60R but the ZAR stamp is on the side of the receiver .Rust pitting to parts of the receiver and barrel and loss of blueing consistent with laying on a battle field in blood .Lands and Grooves are clear & sharp and in excellent condition & would handle cast bullets without problems.All internal mechanism works eg: no broken parts.
