Best 1962-73 series L461 'Vixen' action - preferred long extractor version.

These also have the trigger set right back in he guard.
Bottom metal is the desirable 'one-piece' and classic F.N. style. and showing thinning , tiny patch rust at rear of guard on one side.

Look way better than later version esp in a custom classic stocked rifle
Original factory blue.- the correct deep dark blue not purple.

* Clean bolt face
* Unpolished bolt body. So-called 'short' cocking piece most likely will be replaced by most owners, but has a tiny section of rust on one edge.
* Sharp clean cross hatching on top of receiver.
* Not fiddled with, super smooth slick action, one minute ding on rhs receiver more felt than seen.
* Excellent screw heads.
* No attempt has been made to disguise aging and spots.
.....................and thats exactly what you should want to see.
* Originally a 222 Rem Mag.
* Supplied with a later cocking piece assembly c/w firing pin and spring should you prefer the look of that one...and most owners do.

Buyers will require a PTA as this is still registered as a rifle
(222Rem barrel will come hand screwed to action, but has no value as its been shortened, (mud wasps again?) the rear sight base filled and there is a rust spot on the barrel, sad because theres plenty of the Bofors multi groove rifling left.)

Getting VERY hard to find such a high condition action from halcyon era.
And no, Sako L461 Vixens are not all the same.

Can be wrecked out and sold as parts for more but I refuse/feel bad about doing that to a complete 50yo piece of fine machinery.
