Steyr SSG69 308 Win

I am original owner of the rifle purchased alongside an Australian Military contract placed with Steyr in late 80s .It is a nicely set-up tactical rifle, and in great condition with 1800 Rounds put through the barrel which has a lifetime rating of >10000 rounds. The numbered Kahles ZF69 6-42 scope was an Austrian/Australian military issue sniper scope for this rifle and has the unique Steyr/scope take off rings . The total weight is 4.9Kg. with scope and bipod, so it’s not the lightest rifle to carry in the field, but is great if you want to try for 2” groups at 400 yards. The Teflon coated bolt is smooth and fast into battery. The trigger is 2.5lb and crisp but can be easily adjusted.
This rifle comes with Kahles ZF69 6-42 Mil Spec. scope and bipod, and a total of 2/ 5 round magazines, marked SSG 308 Win. and original Owner’s Manual and single round mag adapter for Range work. There is also a one off unique Weaver rail adapter for the mounts on the SSG69.
The legendary precision and ruggedness of this weapon has been well proven by armed forces and law enforcement agencies around the world. The stock on the SSG 69 series is widely considered to be one of the best of all time, the length of pull can be adjusted by spacers. Accuracy is where the SSG 69 shines, sub-MOA may be the benchmark for most rifles but SSG 69's shooting .5 MOA and .25 MOA are a common occurrence. Coupled with extremely fast cycling of the action due to the rear locking system and old world craftsmanship the SSG 69 continues to be one of the best sniper rifles in the world and this particular rifle has providence for collectors , Range work or Hunting
