Description:

As the original owner I had FDR import KM 77 MARK 2 heavy barrel with 1/8 twist (see article by Jim Johns from SSAA Mag Attached) for use with projectiles from 52 to 80 grains for the Rifle Scope Match for ranges out to 1000 Meters .In addition it has a steel channel professionally milled into stock to accept a Mil Spec steel Target Bi-pod and is topped with a Weaver Target Scope V16 4-16X Variable with .25 mm adjustments out to 1000 meters.( NOTE : Weaver V16 scope is not included in the price but can be negotiated as an add on as part of the deal) . The rifle comes with the original Ruger scope rings. This is a unique Ruger KM 77 FDR and not the standard KM 77 VT (Varmint /Target) model rifle and one of 3 imported into Australia by Firearms Distributors Rifle from Ruger Engineering works in USA.
The Ruger KM77FDR is built on stainless steel barrelled action with 26" heavy contour barrel and laminated hardwood stocks with pronounced pistol grips and wide beavertail forearm. The KM77VT's stainless steel barreled action is finished in Ruger's unique, low glare, "Target Grey," stainless steel barrelled action is highly resistant to corrosion.
The M77 is a flat bottom, Mauser type bolt action with an integral recoil lug. The one-piece bolt has two front locking lugs. The bolt lift is approximately 90 degrees and the bolt knob itself is smooth and rounded.
The M77 Mk. II has a generous loading port that makes it easy to push cartridges into the internal box magazine. This large loading port also makes it easy to unload the rifle. The trigger of the KM77VT is steel, wide and smooth and brakes consistently at 2 1/5 pounds with only a little take-up and no creep. The KM77VT Mk. II action is firmly bedded into its laminated stock by means of Ruger's patented diagonal front bedding screw. This diagonal screw pulls the action forward as well as down against the stock
