Description:
A Merkel drilling in 12 gauge and 7x57 rimmed. Proofing stamps indicate manuafacture in November 1980. I purchased this a few years back, thinking my life was going in a different direction. I've only had it in the field once, and it is a beautiful gun. The action locks up tight. The Zeiss scope is matched to the rifle (marked with the serial number). The rifle also has a flip-up rear iron sight which automatically raises when the rifle barrel is selected. Three cocking indicators, side-mounted safety. thumb operated barrel selector. There is some wear on the bluing of the scope, but the optics are clear and crisp. Some minor handling marks on the gun itself.
