Description:
A collector Martini. Barrel is stamped Birmingham Small Arms Co Ltd , Birmingham 1907
LH receiver has Francotte stamp and LH receiver is stamped Victorian Government and LH stock is stamped Vic Gov with matching serial no. out of service S with arrows on both stock and Knox Form.
bore is surprisingly good with clear rifling and no blemishes.
overall cond is good. with nice overall patina.
Barrel is stamped with very small proof and 250 L . however, caliber appears to be 297-230 Morris Short. I base this on caliber of .22 and Morris long does not fully chamber.
classed as obsolete in SA and Vic (not sure about other states) It was purchased as part of a package from a deceased estate, but as I have no interest in Martini's. it has to go to someone who will appreciate it.
