Description:
This 1917 SHT LE MKIII* has been converted to a RANGE RIFLE with a CENTRAL No 4 PEEP SIGHT. Mechanically the rifle is very sound. It possibly went through at least two wars and so its wood is very dark typical of a 103 year old piece of history. The BUTTSTOCK surprisingly has no deep scaring or cracks. The Serial number on the ACTION, BOLT, and NOSECAP is G82788. As was the practice at Lithgow SAF when during a FTR a heavy barrel was fitted it was not stamped with a serial number matching that on the action. I am advertising the rifle for a mate and I have spotted for him at our Range, so I have seen how well it shoots. Buyer to pay transfer fee and postage.
