FAREWELL EDITION CZ 452

Description:

Only 1000 CZ 452 Farewell Edition rifles were released in 2016 to commemorate the end of 60 years of production of the CZ 452. This rifle is number 304 in the series.

The CZ 452 has a twin locking lug action with a safety catch that locks the striker, not just the trigger. This rifle has a jewelled finished bolt with modest but neatly done engraving on the receiver.

This rifle has been fired, but is in otherwise mint condition. I thought of keeping it as an unfired investment, but curiosity got the better of me. I had been told the model shot very well, and this was indeed the case with this rifle. It is extremely accurate. Even with HV (Eley), it will put the whole box in under 20mm at 50 metres. With Tenex it shoots half of that.

I shimmed (YoDave kit) and lightened the trigger (500 gms). The release is now virtually creep free.

The mounts are 3/8" Delta two piece steel with Torx type screw heads (the rifle comes with a Torx key).

The blueing is high lustre with flame style blueing on the bolt handle and trigger. The 'fleur de lis' chequering is sharply cut and the wood to metal matching is flawless. When I first saw this rifle I didn't believe the barrel was fully floated until I saw a piece of thin paper being passed along its length.

The rifle has a flush fitting, black rubber butt pad.
