Description:
Both guns (one stamped Moore London) have been owned by the one family and come with a history sheet. One was bought to Australia in 1865 the other a shooting prize. Bushcraft maintenance and repairs are evident by the copper sheet repair to a badly damaged stock and the adaption of a powder container, to a flask, by the addition of a decanting fitting. Locks are of various manufacturer are replacements due to, I imagine, wear and tear. Leather shot flask still contains lead shot and, some percussion cap tins still retain their contents (caps will only be included on a personal pickup basis). Guns and flasks are all pretty tired due to age and considerable use now non operational being only suitable for spares, restoration or as a collection to recall a wonderful part of Australia's wonderful history. There was really no patina so, a cleanup was undertaken disclosing tidy demascus barrels and nice timber work. I believe an enthusiastic collector will not be disappointed.
