For sale is my 9mm 1911 Pro Series S&W and accompanying IPSC setup and spares.
I've had it for a few years but haven't shot it a great deal, hence selling it. I prefer my Beretta 92FS.
I've kept it meticulously clean inside and out after every shoot and lubed well. I always use grease on the rails and locking lugs for extra protection. I look after my stuff and everything I own lasts forever.
This gun runs as flawlessly as any gun can. It did have a failure to extract every 300 to 400 rounds which after about 2000 rounds I eventually got S&W to look at it and they found the extractor to have too big of a radius on the bottom edge and replaced it with one with a sharper corner giving it more reliable extraction. I haven't had a problem since. So this gun I am selling has no problems. I could have omitted this history as it is now irrelevant but I want to be honest, transparent, and open.
I've shot it about 1500 rounds since then so not excessive usage, especially considering I have replaced the recoil spring twice in that time as precaution. The springs will last much longer than this but it's cheap insurance to look after the gun and keep it running well. Second replacement spring was less than 500 rounds ago.
The gun comes with:
5 Wilson Combat 10-round magazines with metal replacement followers. (The original polymer followers are also included.)
1 x Blade-Tech Kydex holster with Tek-Lok attachment. (Tek-Lok - You can open and attach it over your belt, no need to take your belt off and slide it through.)
1 x Blade-Tech dropped and offset holster attachment to allow you to drop the holster lower and space it out from the belt a little. Mainly for ladies with hips that would otherwise push the bottom of the holster out and make the gun draw into their ribs or if you have some belly girth that gets in the way.
1 x Blade-Tech 2x2 1911 magazine carrier with Tek-Lok attachment. Keeps all the mags in the same spot, makes muscle memory for reloads easier and quicker. It is legal for IPSC as the skinny single-stack mags can stack this way and not exceed the 50mm distance from the belt rule.
The Tek-Lok attachments are adjustable for belt width with an insert you can remove and move to a different slot.
4 x new, unopened Wolff #14 "reduced power" recoil springs with firing-pin springs. (Reduced power is for 45ACP; they are standard springs for 9mm.)
2 x used #14 springs and firing-pin springs.
1 x #12 and 1 x #13 used recoil and firing-pin springs. I used these a little a few years ago for testing lighter loads. I didn't make IPSC power factor so I went back to standard springs and loads after testing. They have very little use on them.
Comes with the S&W hard case and manual, bushing wrench, lock.
This is the same gun currently available from QLD Gun Exchange for over $3000 that has adjustable sights and only two magazines. I'm offering fixed sights, three extra magazines with steel followers and all the other equipment and springs mentioned, for less money. You can also rest assured that you won't have any problems with it out of the box as it has been well tested.
