Description:
This is a custom single shot rifle built on an Omark Model 44 action by the gunsmith Dave Harrison in 1979. The barrel is a free-floating Shillen 26 inch (66 cm). The action is bedded in Devcon. The stock is hand carved Blackwood with Dave's "stippling".
The rifle was developed to shoot Sierra MatchKing 168 grain hollow point boat tail projectiles over 44.5 grains of Winchester 748. I used it to shoot Rifle Metallic Silhouette.
The rife has no safety. Fired cartridges are extracted from the chamber, but are not ejected. They just sit in the action to be removed by hand.
