Description:
Manufactured between 1898 and 1914. A very good side by side, 12 bore double barrel, bar action, hammergun by W J Jeffery & Co. Fully functioning. 30" steel nitro proofed barrels bored at IC & 3/4 choke. Side lock, with extractors. Dual triggers. Sunken top rib inscribed 'W J Jeffery & Co. Ltd, 13 King St, St James St. London'. Rebounding hammers. 14.25" semi pistol grip stock (including horn butt plate) with vacant white metal oval. Has some nicks on the wood work. Comes with original cleaning rod and cleaning rod attachments. Has been in my family since it was purchased from the maker. Guns like this, in this condition, are very rare, prices for similar weapons in the US start at USD $3,000.
