Description:
Savage made Lee Enfield rifle, marked US property on the receiver, squared S on receiver, nosecap, etc.
Unusual rifle unmarked with the typical serialisation stamps on the wrist socket. Magazine markings indicate NZ service. Bolt is unserialised. Wrist socket has "MR3001" etched onto it, unsure what the significance of that is, maybe "machine room", maybe someone's initials. Either way that's the serial the rifle is registered with.
Excellent condition bore featuring 2 groove rifling, shoots very very well.
Comes as you see it with a 2-7x Weaver scope mounted on a no-drill alloy base, also comes with the original iron sights, can be restored to military spec in about 10 minutes along with an excellent condition jungle green Lee Enfield sling.
Overall the rifle is in very good condition and will serve someone well for years to come.
