Description:
Bought new in 2017. Has been a solid and useful rifle. Selling to make room for a new 308 (a present).
I'll tell you all about it, the good and the bad
- Burris 3-9x40 Droptine with QD rings, versatile package as scope can be removed and open sights used
- Accuracy - okay to good. Best I ever got was 1" at 100yds. More typical was 1 1/4"(If you put more time into load options I think it would improve a bit. It seems to like Nosler ballistic tips, 165 gr)
- 1:10 inch twist
- Thumbhole stock is nice, but the package is heavy, ~4.2kg which is good for recoil but not so good for mountains unless you're young and fit.
- XS peep sights is an option when scope removed
- Open sights - fitted by me, not a gunsmith. Rear are glued with Henkel 620, no screw (you could get a screw or two installed by gunsmith if you desired). Its been solid for ~ 2 years. Front sight is dovetailed in. (I've oscillated between 'good' and "very good' based on handyman work here, and decided 'very good' with visability of sights handywork :) )
- I estimate I've fired ~ 500-550 rounds through it
