Description:
Starting with the bad points:
It looks rusty - it isn't- I have tried to show this deceptive patterning up close in the pictures.
It looks battered - yes the wood is definitely knocked around.
The good points:
- Classic point and click 1970's tool quality hardware: no weird modern safety features and no skimping on materials. Made in The USA, not bodgy-stan.
-Holds ten shells at a time.
-Magnum 44 in Winchester is no longer manufactured, the new versions sold at twice the price by other brands are mere knockoffs, quality issues on them include shallow bore grooves, feeding problems and difficulty cycling.
-Lots of fun, a powerful, short range sledgehammer.
-It has top-up loading, just insert more into the side gate as you walk.
-Very cheap factory ammo - probably the cheapest for a rifle, due to very common handgun availability.
If you are reloading, it gets down to around 30 cents a bullet.
-If you are local, I can give you the dies and I have lots of components, including hundreds of primers and a cartload of shells and the reloading dies - as a bonus.
-It comes with the full-proof adjustable Williams peep sight that can also act as a ghost ring; or you can take that off to use on some other gun and it still has the built-in sights.
