Mauser Custom 8mm

Description:

Imported from UK some years ago as a 8x60 "remanufactured" by Geco from a military mauser action for the local market in Germany in 1929 . The barrel was shotout and the original stock (also supplied with this rifle) was a bit rough.
Adelaides top gunsmith fitted a new Walther Lothar barrel in 8x57, also fitted an extended safety and weaver bases. He reblued the action with the barrel. A stock made by Sid Miller was then fitted with glass bedding, floated barrel and quality but pad. The original set trigger has been retained. (the Late Sid Miller was a vet well known Bench rest Hall of famer)
The rifle has been sighted and properly run in , taken on one "pre Covid" Sambar hunt and not used since. Round count approx 40 handloads and 5 Highland factory loads.
Note: Leupold steel rings included but the scope is not included.
Overall cond is excellent, a couple of tiny marks on the stock and none on the barrel and action.
