Aguirre & Aranzabal (AyA) No.37

Almost as new condition Number 37 under and over shotgun by Aguirre & Aranzabal (AyA). This is a true 9 pin sidelock ejector game gun, with hand detachable side locks via a hidden nail. Single trigger, with barrel selector on the tigger blade. Choked Modifed and Full, 28 inch barrels. Serial number indicates built between 1972 and 1975, arguably the high point of workmanship for AyA and other Spanish gun makers. Interestingly for it\'s time, has a factory fitted CONVEX recoil pad, in order to enhance speedy gun mounting. This is the factory original pad, branded AyA and is in perfect condition. Hand filed rib and absolutely stunning engraving done during an age when quality meant something. Retains all case hardening colour. Dogs and birds filled with 24ct gold. Labrador depicted was the original owner\'s dog at the time and was faithfully engraved to both sides of the action. Very nice timber, with 3 piece forend. Comes in it\'s original makers leather case, which is in excellent condition as well. This is a time capsule gun, hand made to the highest quality. It is believed that it was unfired until this year. It has fired less than one box of cartridges. Replacement price for this piece now would be in the vicinity of $50k. Compares favourably with any other high end bespoke European or English gun.
