Description:
I have a master caster I am wishing to sell. It comes with a set of 135gr TC 9mm molds, which are rust free inside. It has had the thermostat removed and a PID controller installed. It also has a complete kit to automate. This is made by "Hatch" from "CASTBOOLIT" forum 3yrs ago and hasn't even been taken out of the box. I can provide email correspondence if needs must. I believe once it is fitted, all you need is an air compressor and lead to feed it.
IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT - The melting pot itself has an electrical fault. I believe the heating jacket absorbs moisture when unused for a while, so needs to be heated to a certain point to dry it out. Once it is up to temp it goes fine until it is left unused for a while again. I had some correspondence with magma about it and they were unaware of this happening. It was not economical to send back to USA for faultfinding. It was with some discussion on the "CASTBOOLIT" forums we seemed to find the answer. I use a forge burner to heat the pot. A map torch or similar will do it as well. It is important to completely empty the pot before storage, else this process takes ages.
Please note, I won't sell the master caster or the automation panel separate. If purchased, I'll throw in what is left of my hand casting stuff. 9mm molds, hi-tek powders etc. Though I'll sell the handmolds and hitek stuff seperate.
